LuxFLAG awards ESG Label to Smart Food funds

BNP Paribas Asset Management

LuxFLAG, the Luxembourg Finance Labelling Agency, recently granted its ESG Label to BNP Paribas L1 Smart Food and Parvest Smart Food.

This label guarantees that these funds implement ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) criteria throughout the investment chain.

This is the case of Parvest SMaRT Food1 which invests in food related companies that are addressing critical issues, such as the need to reduce pollution, tackle climate change or provide better quality food, while respecting ethical rules. Specifically, it invests in companies involved in reducing food waste, recycling packaging, reducing CO2 emissions or improving water management.

In addition, LuxFLAG renewed the Environment Label for:

  • BNP Paribas Aqua
  • BNP Paribas L1 Equity World Aqua
  • Parvest Aqua
  • Parvest Environmental Opportunities (to be renamed Parvest Climate Impact)
  • Parvest Global Environment
  • Parvest Green Tigers

The Luxembourg finance labelling agency is an independent and international, non-profit making, association created in Luxembourg in July 2006 by seven founding partners who are the Charter Members. The Agency aims to promote the raising of capital for the Responsible Investment sector by awarding a recognisable label to investment vehicles. Its objective is to reassure investors that a fund carrying its Label invests, directly or indirectly, in the responsible investment sector.

The value of investments and the income they generate may go down as well as up and it is possible that investors will not recover their initial outlay. Past performance or achievement is not indicative of current or future performance. Investors should ensure that they are fully informed about the sub-funds, classes and sub-classes of shares that are authorised to be marketed in their country of residence and the constraints applicable in each of the countries.
